We often feel threatened by the idea of movement and dance, but we all own a body. We use and move it every day.

These workshops are tailored upon request to cover a range of approaches that teach young people the relevance of dance in relationship to themselves, others and the world around them.

Dance workshops for education and learning

The workshops can be ‘just about dance’, how to express ideas and themes with the body, basic choreographic skills and/or interdisciplinary approaches to curriculum. How can we use movement to understand the world around us?

Science, mathematics, literature or any other aspect of the curriculum can be discovered and experienced through dance. Research has demonstrated the efficacy of interdisciplinary approaches, especially through the arts. I can co-design a curriculum that uses artistic thinking and exercises to explore our world through inquiry.

“I have trained in dance since I was six years old. It has always been an innate drive. After dancing professionally and working in theatres in Europe for over a decade I then taught dance and theatre in an International Baccalaureate school for nine years, dance and movement have been a constant throughout my life. I am passionate about sharing the power, joy and importance dance and theatre have in our lives.” Tim Fletcher
