2 day workshop basic film technique for 10 - 14 year olds
Get ready for action with our thrilling 2-day workshop, "The Pursuit," where youth will learn to create their own dynamic chase sequence! Participants will dive into the basics of filmmaking, focusing on the essential skills needed to plan, shoot, and edit an exciting chase scene.
Participants will
Understand the fundamentals of camera use and shot composition.
Develop planning and storyboarding skills to outline their chase sequence.
Learn shooting techniques for maintaining continuity, ensuring a smooth flow of action.
Experiment with camera angles and movement to enhance tension.
Edit their footage, incorporating cuts, transitions, and sound effects to create a polished final product.
This course is designed to engage the imagination and teach young people how to start thinking critically.
By the end of the workshop, each participant will have completed in groups their own short chase sequence, showcasing their newfound filmmaking abilities and creativity. This hands-on experience is perfect for aspiring filmmakers looking to explore the art of cinematic storytelling.
If possible, we ask participants to bring a phone and/or computer. The course is designed for participants to work in small groups to create their projects - collaborating.
